Folio is a place to read and publish serial fiction. This page explains what we collect and why.

Your account details (email address, username and the profile you fill in), what you do on Folio (books in your library, reading progress, reviews, comments, votes and gifts), and payment records. Card and PayPal details stay with our payment providers; we never see them.

Necessary cookies keep you signed in, protect forms and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off. Optional cookies are only used if you agree to them in the cookie notice.

If you allow Analytics, Folio sets a random visitor cookie (folio_vid) and counts the pages you view, without your name or IP address, and deletes those counts after about a year. If the site also uses Google Analytics, its cookies (_ga) are set only then too. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, analytics stay off.

You can change your cookie choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, download or correct your details from your settings, and ask us to delete your account.
